Ingredients
  • a little bit Gingersliced and smashed
  • a few Garlic cloves
  • Bok choycut into segments
  • a little Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon White pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sugar
  • Chicken bouillon(optional)optional, can use chicken stock instead
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 2 tablespoons Watercold

    Slice and smash the ginger. Prepare garlic cloves.

    Cut bok choy into segments, separating thicker parts from leaves.

    Blanch thicker parts of bok choy in simmering salted water for 15-30 seconds.

    Add leaves and cook until bright green and tender-crisp.

    Drain and cool greens under cold water.

    Mix white pepper, cornstarch, sugar, salt, and water to make a sauce.

    Heat oil in wok, add aromatics, and stir-fry for 10 seconds.

    Add greens to wok and use a blowtorch to add smokiness.
