- •1/2 lb Ground beefcan substitute with ground chicken, pork, turkey, or firm tofu
- •1 1/2 tbsp Soy sauce
- •1/2 tbsp Sake
- •1/2 tbsp Mirinsweet Japanese rice wine
- •Powdered dashia sprinkle
- •2 tbsp Waterto reconstitute dashi
- •1 tsp Sugar
- •Gingera couple of slices, minced
- •2 Eggsone per serving
- •1 pinch Salt
- •Frozen peasor any green vegetable like spinach, snap peas, or asparagus
- •Japanese short grain ricecooked

Cook the ground meat with soy sauce, sake, mirin, powdered dashi, water, sugar, and minced ginger until the liquid evaporates and the meat browns slightly.

Beat the eggs with mirin and a pinch of salt. Cook until set but still moist.

Heat a little water and add frozen peas. Cook until they are no longer frozen in the center.

Serve the cooked meat, eggs, and peas over a bowl of cooked Japanese short grain rice.
