Ingredients
  • 1 block Halloumi cheesecut into thick pieces
  • Hot waterfor soaking (enough to cover halloumi)
  • Lemon juice(optional)to finish
  • Honey(optional)to finish
  • Chili flakes(optional)to finish

    Cut the halloumi properly: find the line down the middle of the block, cut along it, then halve again to make nice thick pieces.

    Soak the halloumi pieces in hot water for 10 minutes.

    Drain the halloumi and pat dry.

    Fry the halloumi until golden on both sides.

    Finish by squeezing over a little lemon juice and adding some honey and chili flakes. Let it get bubbly, then serve and eat straight away while warm and stretchy.
