Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cups Lukewarm water
  • 3 1/2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Soft butter
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Instant yeastAlso known as quick-acting or easy bake yeast

    Add lukewarm water to the mixing bowl.

    Add flour, sugar, soft butter, salt, and instant yeast to the bowl.

    Mix the ingredients using a dough hook attachment for 10 minutes or knead by hand for 10 minutes.

    Grease a large bowl with oil and place the dough in it. Cover and let it proof in a warm place for 30 minutes.

    Grease a 900g loaf tin. Turn out the dough, knock back, and shape into a loaf. Place in the tin.

    Cover the loaf with a cloth and let it proof for another 30 minutes in a warm place.

    Preheat the oven to 180°C (355°F).

    Bake the loaf in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.

    Remove the loaf from the tin and return to the oven at 200°C (390°F) for a few more minutes to crisp the crust.

    Cool the loaf on a wire rack before slicing.
