Ingredients
  • 2 Red onionssliced
  • 1 cup Rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon Sugar
  • 2 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 2 Cinnamon sticks
  • 2 Bay leaves
  • Chili flakes(optional)to taste

    Slice the red onions and set aside.

    Measure 1 cup of rice vinegar and pour into a cup.

    Add 1 teaspoon of dried oregano, 1 1/2 tablespoons of sugar, and 2 teaspoons of kosher salt to the vinegar.

    Heat the mixture until the salt and sugar dissolve.

    Place the sliced onions in a jar and add 2 cinnamon sticks and 2 bay leaves.

    Optional: Add chili flakes to the jar for spice.

    Pour the hot vinegar mixture over the onions until covered.
