Preheat the oven to 210°C (410°F) or gas mark 7.

Place about 3 grams of beef dripping, lard, or vegetable oil in each cup of a 12-cup muffin tin.

Put the muffin tin in the oven to heat up while mixing the batter.

Mix milk and water gradually to form a smooth paste.
