  • Feather blade steakAlso known as flat iron steak
  • Olive oilExtra virgin
  • Black pepperHeavy
  • SaltHeavy
  • Butter(optional)For flavor
  • Garlic(optional)For rubbing
  • Thyme(optional)Or rosemary, oregano

    Take the steak out of the fridge an hour before cooking to reach room temperature.

    Rub the steak with olive oil, salt, and pepper on both sides.

    Heat a thick-bottomed pan on high heat and add a little oil.

    Place the steak in the pan and cook, turning every minute for even cooking.

    Optionally rub with garlic and add butter while cooking for extra flavor.
