No Fuss Bangers & Mash Pie
A comforting British dish combining sausages and mashed potatoes in a pie form.

Brown the sausages in a pan with a splash of oil over medium heat for about 10 minutes until they are a rich mahogany color.

Peel and slice two medium-sized onions.

Caramelize the onions on low heat for 45 minutes to an hour until golden brown.

Peel and quarter the potatoes, then boil them in salted water for 10-15 minutes until tender.

Drain the potatoes and mash them with butter, milk, white pepper, and salt to taste.

Add flour and butter to the caramelized onions, cook for a few minutes, then add rosemary and thyme.

Gradually add stock to the onion mixture, stirring to form a thick gravy.

Cut the browned sausages diagonally and add them to the gravy with a bay leaf, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer for 5-10 minutes.

Transfer the sausage mixture to a pie dish and let it cool to room temperature.
