Ingredients

  • Ground beefLow fat, 5% fat
  • 200 ml Beef stockOr use a beef stock cube
  • 1 Bay leavesLarge or two small
  • 1 tbsp Tomato puree
  • 2 tbsp Gravy granulesFor thickening
  • FlourFor pastry
  • ButterFor pastry
  • FatFor pastry
  • WaterFor pastry
  • SaltFor pastry
  • 1 EggFor egg wash
  • MilkFor egg wash

    Heat oil in a medium-sized pot and fry diced onions until soft.

    Add minced beef and cook until browned.

    Add beef stock and bay leaves, then tomato puree. Mix well.

    Simmer for 10 minutes with the lid on.

    Make pastry by mixing flour, salt, butter, and fat with hot water.
