Prepare the aromatics: finely chop the onion and green chilies, grate the ginger and garlic, and mix them together.

Grate the roma tomatoes to create a saucy consistency.

Mix ground beef with water in a bowl to create a smooth texture.

Grind mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and black peppercorns together.

Heat oil in a pan over medium heat, add the ground spice mix, cloves, cinnamon stick, and bay leaf. Toast for 10 to 20 seconds.

Add the onion, ginger garlic paste, green chilies, and salt. Sauté for 6 to 8 minutes.

Add turmeric, hot chili powder, and grated tomatoes. Cook for another 5 minutes until a sauce forms.
