Soak clams in salt water for at least three hours to purge sand.

Heat extra virgin olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add 1 clove of garlic and a handful of fresh parsley.

Add clams to the pan, stir, and add a splash of white wine. Steam covered until shells open.

Remove clam meat from shells, strain broth to remove sand.

Cook spaghetti in unsalted boiling water for half the package time.
