Homemade Pizza Dough
A simple recipe for making pizza dough from scratch at home.

Heat the water to 35-40°C (95-104°F).

Add sugar and yeast to the warm water and set aside for a few minutes to activate.

Add strong white bread flour to a bowl.

Mix in salt using a whisk.

Add olive oil to the flour mixture.

Add the yeast mixture to the flour and mix until combined.

Knead the dough by hand for 10 minutes or use a stand mixer for 5-8 minutes.

Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour in a warm place.

Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knock back to remove gas.

Divide the dough into four equal pieces for thin crust or two for thick crust.

Shape the dough pieces into balls and place on an oiled baking tray, cover with cling film.
