  • .5 lb Gingerpeeled and sliced
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 cup Sugar

    Peel and slice the ginger into thin pieces.

    Boil the ginger slices in 2 cups of water for 30 minutes.

    Drain the ginger, reserving 1/4 cup of the ginger water.

    Add the ginger slices, reserved ginger water, and 1 cup of sugar to a pan.

    Cook on medium heat until the sugar dissolves and the ginger becomes translucent.
