Ingredients
  • 2 teaspoons Instant or active dried yeast
  • Lukewarm waterWith a teaspoon of sugar dissolved
  • 1500 grams Plain flourCan use all-purpose flour
  • SaltTo taste
  • 4 grams Vital wheat glutenPer 100 grams of flour
  • Vegetable oilCan use olive oil or softened butter

    Add yeast to lukewarm water with dissolved sugar, stir, and set aside.

    Mix salt into plain flour.

    Add vital wheat gluten to flour and mix thoroughly.

    Add yeast mixture and oil to flour and mix with a wooden spoon.

    Knead dough by hand or with a stand mixer until combined.

    Cover dough and let rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.

    Turn dough onto floured surface, knock back, and form into a ball.

    Place dough back in bowl, cover, and let rise for 45 minutes.

    Prepare loaf tin by greasing it.

    Shape dough into a loaf, place in tin, and let rise for 45 minutes.

    Preheat oven to 180°C (355°F).
