Ingredients
  • 650 millilitres Watertepid
  • 1 sachet Dried yeast
  • 1 pinch Sugar(optional)optional, or use honey
  • 1 kilo Strong flourhold a little back for dusting
  • 1 pinch Salt

    Mix 650ml of tepid water with 1 sachet of dried yeast in a large bowl. Optionally add a pinch of sugar or honey.

    Add most of 1 kilo of strong flour to the yeast mixture, reserving some for dusting. Mix with a fork.

    Add a pinch of salt and mix with hands until dough forms.

    Knead the dough until smooth, then form into a ball.

    Place dough in a bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise for 1 to 1.5 hours until doubled in size.

    Punch down the dough to release air, then knead briefly.

    Divide dough into two and shape into loaves. Let rise again for 30 minutes to 1 hour.

    Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 35 minutes.
