- •2 tbsp Olive oil(optional)Or butter

Add sugar and crack the egg into warm milk. Whisk together.

Add yeast and whisk again. Set aside to activate for 10 minutes.

Add yeast mixture to mixer bowl. Add oil or butter, flour, and salt.

Knead the dough using a stand mixer for 10 minutes or by hand.

Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let it proof for 1 hour.

Turn dough onto workbench, knock back, and divide into six pieces.

Form each piece into a ball and let rest for 5 minutes.

Roll each ball into a 4-inch circle and place on a floured tray.

Heat a frying pan to 200°C (390°F). Cook muffins for 3.5 minutes per side.
