Ingredients
  • 1 lb EggplantKorean eggplant, cut into 2.5-inch pieces
  • 3 Garlic clovesminced
  • 2 Green onionsminced
  • 1 tbsp Soy sauceuse 1 tbsp plus 1 tsp for vegetarian version
  • 1 tsp Fish sauce(optional)adds deep flavor
  • 1 tsp Hot pepper flakes
  • 2 tsp Sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp Sesame seedshome-toasted, crushed

    Add two cups of water to a steamer pot and bring to a boil.

    Wash and cut the eggplant into 2.5-inch pieces.

    Steam the eggplant for about 5 minutes until tender.

    Mince the garlic and green onions.
