Add sugar to warm water and mix until dissolved.

Add yeast to the water and mix. Let it activate for 10 minutes.

Add yeast mixture to mixer bowl, then add olive oil.

Add white bread flour and salt to the bowl. Mix and knead for 10 minutes.

Lightly oil a large bowl and place the dough in it. Cover and let proof for 1 hour.

Turn dough onto a surface, flatten to degas, and form into a ball.

Place dough on a baking sheet, cover, and let proof for 45 minutes.

Preheat oven to 200°C (390°F) with a pan of hot water inside.

Dust dough with flour, score the top, and bake for 25 minutes.
