Chocolate Sheet Cake

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Sift together 3 cups of all-purpose flour, 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt, 1 tablespoon baking soda, 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder, 2 2/3 cups granulated sugar, and 1/2 cup cocoa powder.

Whisk the dry ingredients to combine.

In a separate bowl, mix 1 cup buttermilk, 1/2 cup sour cream, 3/4 cup vegetable oil, 3 eggs, a dash of vanilla extract, and 1 1/2 cups strong hot coffee.

Combine wet and dry ingredients in a stand mixer with a paddle attachment. Mix until smooth.

Pour batter into a prepared 9x13 inch pan lined with parchment paper.

Bake in the oven for about 50 minutes or until the center is set.

For the buttercream, beat 3 sticks of unsalted butter with a pinch of salt and 1/2 cup cocoa powder until smooth.

Add 1 pound confectioner's sugar to the butter mixture and beat until combined.
