Ingredients
  • Pears
  • 1 ChiliSliced with seeds
  • pinch Saffron
  • Water
  • Sugar
  • Star aniseFor dusting
  • 1 teaspoon GingerFor dusting

    Prepare the pears by slicing the bottom so they stand upright, then peel them.

    Slice the chili and add it to a pot with water, including the seeds.

    Add a pinch of saffron to the pot.

    Add sugar to the pot and bring to a simmer.

    Place the pears into the simmering liquid and poach for 8 minutes.

    Prepare the star anise dust by grinding star anise and mixing with ginger.

    Once pears are cooked, remove them and sprinkle with star anise dust.
