  • Chicken thighsboneless, skinless
  • Plain yogurtfor marinade
  • Lemonjuice only
  • Garam masalafor marinade
  • Minced garlicfor marinade and sauce
  • Minced gingerfor marinade and sauce
  • Saltto taste

  • Gheefor cooking
  • Onionssliced
  • Turmericground
  • Ground coriander
  • Cuminground
  • Tomatoescanned or fresh, chopped
  • Chili powderto taste
  • Creamheavy cream

    Marinate chicken thighs with yogurt, lemon juice, garam masala, minced garlic, minced ginger, and salt. Refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.

    Heat oil in a pan and brown the marinated chicken on both sides for 2-3 minutes each.

    Remove chicken and add ghee and more oil to the pan. Cook sliced onions until soft and golden brown.

    Add minced garlic and ginger to the onions, cooking for 30 seconds.

    Add turmeric, ground coriander, cumin, and garam masala. Cook for 15-20 seconds.

    Add tomatoes, salt, and chili powder. Cook on low-medium heat for 15-20 minutes until thickened.

    Stir in cream and return chicken to the pan. Simmer for 5 minutes until chicken is cooked through.
