Cube chicken thighs into 1-inch cubes and marinate with salt and turmeric.

Dice yellow onions.

Heat oil or ghee in a pan.

Add ginger garlic paste, green chilies, and onions. Cook until translucent.

Add tomato puree and cook for a few minutes.

Add red chili powder and coriander powder. Cook for a couple of minutes.

Add chicken and continue cooking for a few minutes.

If the gravy is too thick, add water to thin it out.

Add whisked yogurt on low heat to prevent splitting. Mix well.

Cover and let simmer for 10 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked.
