  • 1 pound Beefsliced thinly
  • 1/2 cup Korean pear juiceused as a tenderizer
  • 1/4 cup Onioncrushed
  • 4 Garlic clovescrushed
  • Gingera little, crushed
  • Green onionchopped thinly
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Rice syrupmakes it shiny
  • Ground black pepper
  • Sesame oil
  • Shiitake mushrooms(optional)for vegetarian version, soaked and sliced
  • White mushrooms(optional)cut in half
  • Carrots(optional)for color
  • Honey(optional)for vegetarian version
  • Sesame seeds(optional)for vegetarian version

    Slice 1 pound of beef thinly.

    Prepare marinade: blend 1/2 cup Korean pear juice, 1/4 cup onion, 4 cloves garlic, and a little ginger.

    Mix soy sauce, brown sugar, rice syrup, ground black pepper, and sesame oil into the marinade.
