Braised Baby Potatoes (Algamja-jorim)
A delicious Korean side dish featuring wrinkly, braised baby potatoes with soy sauce and sesame.

- •some Vegetable oil
- •1 large Garlic clovethinly sliced
- •3 tablespoon Soy sauce
- •3 tablespoon Rice syrup(optional)can substitute with brown or white sugar

Rinse the baby potatoes and place them in an 11-inch thick pan over medium heat.

Add some vegetable oil to the pan and cover. Cook for 20 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes.

Thinly slice one large garlic clove.

Check if the potatoes are fully cooked by skewering the largest one. It should go through easily.

Add soy sauce and rice syrup to the pan. Stir to coat the potatoes.

Add the sliced garlic and continue to braise over medium heat until shiny and wrinkled.

Turn off the heat and add a drop of sesame oil and some sesame seeds.
