Ingredients
  • 500 G Strong white bread flour
  • 310 G WaterRoom temperature
  • 7 G Active or instant dried yeast2 teaspoons
  • 8 G SaltOne level teaspoon
  • 45 G Olive oil3 tablespoons

    Mix the salt and dried yeast with the flour in a separate bowl.

    Add water and olive oil to the mixer bowl and attach the dough hook.

    Add flour mixture to the mixer bowl gradually while mixing on slow speed.

    Knead the dough for 10 minutes until smooth and slightly sticky.

    Grease a bowl with oil and place the dough ball in it. Cover and let rise for 1 hour.

    Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F) or gas mark 6.

    Turn the dough out onto a floured surface, knock back, and shape into an oval.

    Place dough on a greased baking tray, cover, and let rise until doubled.

    Score the dough with a sharp knife and place in the oven.
