  • 3/4 cup All-purpose flourfor crumble
  • 1/4 cup Granulated sugarfor crumble
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugarfirmly packed, for crumble
  • 1/2 teaspoon Saltfor crumble
  • 2 teaspoons Ground cinnamonfor crumble
  • 1/2 cup Butterfor crumble
  • 1 1/2 cups All-purpose flourfor cake
  • 1/4 teaspoon Saltfor cake
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking sodafor cake
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking powderfor cake
  • 1/2 cup Butterroom temperature, for cake
  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugarfor cake
  • 1/3 cup Sour creamfor cake
  • 1 Eggfor cake
  • 1/4 cup Milkfor cake
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla extractfor cake
  • Powdered sugar(optional)for dusting

    Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C) and line an 8x8 inch pan with parchment paper.

    For the crumble, mix 3/4 cup flour, 1/4 cup granulated sugar, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 2 teaspoons cinnamon.

    Add 1/2 cup melted butter to the crumble mixture and mix until crumbly. Set aside.

    For the cake, whisk 1 1/2 cups flour, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon baking powder.

    In a mixer, cream 1/2 cup butter and 1/2 cup sugar until light and fluffy.

    Add 1/3 cup sour cream and 1 egg to the butter mixture and mix until smooth.

    Add 1/4 cup milk and 2 teaspoons vanilla extract to the mixture.

    Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

    Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.

    Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the batter.
